Neoregelia

Bird’s nest Bromeliad.   Last for around six to eight weeks before deteriorating in poorer light.   In it’s natural habitat, the Neoregelia clings to branches with its roots and traps rainwater in the funnel shaped rosette of leaves. When used as office plants, the funnel should be left dry.

Neoregelia flandria

Nidularium as a bowl arrangement

The names Nidularium and Neoregelia seem to be interchangeable although the variety with the plain green leaves is more often referred to as the Neoregelia.
