Philodendron scandens

The sweetheart plant.   So named because of the heart shaped leaves.   This is another durable plant that will thrive in the office environment.   Available as a desk or cupboard plant, if left untrimmed the stems will trail for many yards.

Will tolerate low light levels

Desktop trailing 1ft tall (30cm) to 2.2m

Cut off long shoots to keep the plant in its original shape or wrap around moss pole.

Not usually affected by pests.

Will cling to and climb an indoor wall or wallpaper if left untrimmed.

Can look straggly if not trimmed or tied regularly.

Variegated Philodendron scandens. Not to be confused with scindapsus.
